FTP Today Ends Support for Outdated Internet Explorer Versions

As of January 12, 2016, MIcrosoft formally dropped support for all versions of Internet Explorer prior to version 11. There are a few temporary exceptions, such as IE9 on Vista. A complete list of browsers still receiving security updates from microsoft can be found here: Microsoft's support lifecycle for Internet Explorer versions

Many websites around the world have stopped allowing connections from out-of-date browsers, particularly where the publisher (in this case Microsoft) has already ended all security updating. There is no reason to encourage end users to put their systems at risk by using older browsers, or older operating systems for that matter.

FTP Today is therefore dropping support for old IE browsers effective July 19, 2016 at 8:00 AM. Older browsers being dropped include IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9 (except on Vista) and IE10 (except on Windows Server 2012). As Microsoft ends lifecycles of other browser/OS combinations, such as IE9 on Vista that is scheduled for end of life in April 2017, FTP Today will continue to adjust its policy.

Users attempting to use the WebApp with an unsupported and insecure browser will be given the following link to Microsoft, where they can easily update their browser.
